Orthodontics
People usually start orthodontic treatment in their teen years, once their adult teeth have settled into place and are in need of some straightening. But often children as young as seven can be recommended to us for what's called interceptive orthodontic treatment.

Interceptive orthodontic treatment involves wearing dental appliances that coax the jaws and/or incoming teeth into the right position. The goal is to prevent more serious orthodontic problems, allowing the final treatment with braces to be shorter, easier, and more successful.

Depending on the kind of orthodontic help you need, we can fit your child with a variety of braces that call less attention to their treatment - and more attention to their individual sense of style and fun - including:

  • Clear or tooth-colored brackets
  • elastics in every color of the rainbow
  • Removable retainers in many different designs
  • Star appliances - invisible, removable alignment trays, similar to Invisalign
